The Project options that we offer can be completed totally online. The meetings and presentation are completed via Zoom (or equivalent). Additional supporting guidance and documents are accessible through GroundMark Learning’s learning platform, to which all students are given access.
For the HPQ, you should allow yourself about 60 hours for completion.
For the EPQ, you should allow yourself about 120 hours for completion.
There are no fixed start dates as all sessions are individual to each student.
For example: a student doing an EPQ alongside a full set of A Levels will probably have less time each week than a student who has completed their A Levels and is on a gap year.
The most important consideration is ensuring that you allow plenty of time before the submission deadline:

HPQ Summer submission only – completion to GroundMark Learning by 15 March

If you are struggling for time you can withdraw your application and re-submit for a later date. An administration fee of £61 is payable to Tutors & Exams to action this.
We only offer the Dissertation option for the Project.
It would be too difficult for us to support and oversee an Artefact or Performance online.
This is something that we can do. Some of the terminology and paperwork is different between AQA and Edexcel but apart from that it is a relatively straightforward process.

Regardless of how wonderful or not AI is, you cannot submit a Project that has been completed using AI
You will be signing to say that it is your work and that means you have to have written it yourself. We will do spot checks and when Edexcel moderate your Project, they will also check for AI
