Regular Study with an Independent Tutor

How will I be supported if I choose this option of study?

At the start of your HPQ/EPQ you will advise GroundMark Learning of your choice to use an Independent Tutor and provide contact details for this Tutor.

GroundMark Learning will contact the Tutor to determine their ability to support the HPQ/EPQ.

​

Prior to commencing your HPQ/EPQ your Project Supervisor MUST submit your Project Proposal Form to us for approval.

You will be given access to GroundMark Learning’s learning platform which has resources specifically written to support you as you work through your HPQ/EPQ.

There's no formal restriction on your Project Topic: that's negotiated between you and your Project Supervisor, who will help you choose a topic you will enjoy and cope with.

On completion of your HPQ/EPQ your Project Supervisor MUST submit a fully marked copy to GroundMark Learning for Moderation. We will provide an example for them to follow.

Please note that GroundMark Learning has been successfully delivering the HPQ/EPQ for over 5 years so our Moderation Mark will be Final.

Fees for the HPQ

The initial fee for completion of the Level 2 Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) is £475 and includes:

Access to GroundMark Learning’s learning platform for access to additional guidance and support

• Internal Moderation

• The Exam Board entry fee

• Submission to the Exam Board for Moderation

• ​

In addition to this you will have to pay your Project Supervisor directly for their guidance and support through your HPQ and for marking it.

Fees for the EPQ

The initial fee for completion of the Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is £555 and includes:

• Access to GroundMark Learning’s learning platform for access to additional guidance and support

• Internal Moderation

• The Exam Board entry fee

• Submission to the Exam Board for Moderation

In addition to this you will have to pay your Project Supervisor directly for their guidance and support through your EPQ and for marking it.

 

How do I apply?

 

All applications are made thorough our partner Tutors & Exams. Tutors & Exams are the exam centre part of the partnership and it is important that they receive candidate’s details first hand. For this reason, all applications are made through them.
