Home Educators – Maths – Centre Based 

 

Tuition sessions for small groups for KS2, KS3 and GCSE Mathematics are available as follows:

Leamington Centre: Tuesday and Wednesday 

​ 

We fully appreciate that within a group we may have children who for example: 

​ 

·       Are very good at Mathematics 

·       Consider Mathematics to be their worst nightmare 

·       Have anxiety issues 

·       Have confidence issues 

​ 

Our first and foremost aim is to make the children feel relaxed and comfortable and to give them work which will help to build their confidence. Once they feel comfortable and confident, they will want to learn and we will always let them dictate the pace at which they are ready to learn. 

  

Although most children settle into a group straight-away we appreciate that some children may be anxious when they first start. For this reason, whilst the maximum size of the group is kept to 6 we have extra desks at each centre, which allows some parents to initially sit in with their child in order to help them settle. At the Leamington centre there is a reception area and at the Coventry centre there is a separate kitchen area where parents can wait if they wish to give the reassurance of being close at hand. 

  

We have a large variety of resources available for KS2, KS3 and GCSE including: textbooks, workbooks, worksheets, a photocopier/printer and an overhead projector so can always find appropriate resources for each child.
